I’m currently sitting at my desk getting distracted by the world outside – today is one of those grey days that starts to improve when the sun begins to fade and the fairy lights start twinkling in trees and windows. I struggle to feel cheerful in the winter sometimes, but it’s always best to focus on the happy things – excited children skipping down the road, hearing a squeaky cat yawn (as B has made his bed behind my desk, there’s plenty of those today), watching beautiful videos, fresh coffee in a winter Moomin mug, wrapping gifts for the people I love, listening to (deliciously cheerful and danceable!) new music and of course, those tiny lights that wink in the darkness.
Today is the day that I get to say – “it’s less than two weeks until Christmas!” – I feel like I can start to get really excited, now. This past week I’ve enjoyed getting our fairy lights out of storage, and digging about in various boxes to find decorations and such. Not to mention wrapping presents and writing cards. Anyway, shall we let the photos speak for themselves? Do let’s!
Things are finally starting to wind down for me – I have one shift and one reflection day this week, I’m back at university next week, and then it’s Christmas! I will of course be spending a lot of time revising for a big exam and starting an essay, but it will be the beginning of Christmas, none-the-less!
Good evening chums! I’m feeling pretty happy today – I’m doing my November photo an hour post (oops, left it until the penultimate day of the month!) and have had a pretty productive day thus far. I actually have dinner in the oven already (a slow cook casserole which I have big hopes and dreams for…) which is not a usual occurrence for me!
Anyway, here are the weeks photos from last week – the 19th to the 25th. Enjoy!
Why hello Friday, lovely Friday! I’m feeling good to be out of lectures bright and early today – it means I can make an early start on an assignment, get a bit of tidying done and get this post online before the sun goes down… And even better yet, as Jack’s working from home today I get to sit next to him and have a natter while we work!
This post features photos from the 5th of November through to the 11th of November, starting with the LAN party and ending on a fundraising night out with Jack and some of the ladies at university! Here goes…
Like usual, I’m a wee bit behind on my daily photo posts… But better late than never, right?
The past weekend we were up in Cheshire for the bi-annual LAN party, during which we also attended a Hallowe’en party! A lot of fun was had by all, and as usual, a lot of photos were taken by me… Those photos are bound to take up an entire post by themselves, though! So, here come the daily photos from the 29th of October through to the 4th of November.
Another week of October, done and dusted… It was yet another blur in this month, for me – my current placement has kept me pretty darned busy!
My week started off with not one, but two 13 hour shifts..! When I take that into consideration, it’s little wonder that I’ve been feeling tired lately. Thankfully, Jack and the kitties have been being as perfect as they always are, and that softens the the blow of long shift considerably! Nonetheless, on Monday I was feeling pretty overwhelmed and in need of hugs – which I got.
