Things I Love Thursday #1

Things I Love Thursday is an idea created by the inimitable Gala Darling. In 2007 she began creating a list every Thursday, sharing links, people and experiences that she had fallen in love with that week. All over the internet people the idea was passed around: everyone loved the concept of celebrating appreciation and thankfulness together and began creating their own lists… This is mine!

♥ The support I received during the launch of my website from all my friends and family – you’re all wonderful!

♥ Going out to take photos with the lovely Lisa at the weekend… It was extremely hot (and I’m not usually at my best during warm spells!) but I had a great time hanging out with her at Coalhouse Fort, taking photos (to follow when I get up-to-date) and eating ice cream – thanks Lisa!

♥ Marmalade! I’m working on eating so much I make myself feel ill. It’s not happened yet… Omnom.

♥ Discovering Vagenda Magazine: specifically this post concerning the recent remarks made by senate candidate Todd Akin.

♥ Wearing my Cropredy wristband for far too long… I’ve given myself a month to wear it to remind me how much I love it and relive the three days spent in a field in Oxfordshire. I can’t wait to go again next year!

♥ Commisioning artwork from one of my favourite artists – Liselotte is drawing a cat a day for a year. I asked her to make me a portrait of Barns sitting in a tree pretending to be a bird as a ploy to catch himself some feathery dinner… Isn’t it fantastic and isn’t she amazing?! I can’t wait to hang it on my bedroom wall!

♥ Watching the current series of The Great British Bake Off… I’ve never watched it before, but as I’ve heard such wonderful things about it from the lovely Debs, I decided to give it a whirl this time around – and it’s brilliant!

Do you write a Things I Love Thursday or gratitude list? If not, what would you write on it this week? If so, please share it with me!

  1. Yay, so happy you’re enjoying GBBO too 😀 I want to try making bagels after watching this week’s episode, specifically the blueberry and white chocolate ones. Nom!

& that picture of Barns is so funny & cute! x

    1. It’s really fantastic, even for someone like me (completely inept when it comes to creating food!) – I thought the sour-dough ones looked amaaaazing! And I know, I’m so pleased that I asked her to make it for me! 🙂 x
