52 weeks of Arthur – week 2

I have been taking a daily self-portrait for over 10 years now, so when our son Arthur was born it felt natural to start taking a daily photo of him too! I’m picking one photo from each week to share here on my blog.

Arthur was born on the 7th December, 8 days before his due date, which Jack and I both really appreciated as we got to spend our first Christmas together in more of a relaxed fashion! (Note I say more, Christmas with a newborn isn’t ever completely relaxed I imagine.) As we were spending Christmas day with Jack’s family, the week after Arthur was born we had a Christmassy day with my family. Arthur slept in his carrycot/ate as much as possible while we were having our meal, and I had to take this photo by my mum and step-dad’s tree during one of his many naps.

Technically, this isn’t one of Arthur’s daily photos (rather, it’s for my project 365) but it’s my project and my rules, ha! Here’s the whole project so far, on Flickr. (Not all of the photos are public – I’ve kept some friends and family only, so if you can’t see them, are a friend or family member and want to, message me!).
