52 weeks of Arthur – week 5

I have been taking a daily self-portrait for over 10 years now, so when our son Arthur was born it felt natural to start taking a daily photo of him too! I’m picking one photo from each week to share here on my blog.

This was the day that we took Arthur to officially have his name registered! It was our first family trip into London via the train, which was an experience all of its own… Thankfully, we booked our appointment for the afternoon which gave us all morning to “prepare” (life with a newborn doesn’t really lend itself to punctuality!).

Our actual appointment ended up taking several hours, due to some mix-up with the hospital and some computer errors. This meant that we would have ended up going home during rush hour, which we didn’t fancy! So instead, we chose to go and have a nice meal together at Real Greek, before taking our time to potter home.

Here’s the whole project so far, on Flickr. (Not all of the photos are public – I’ve kept some friends and family only, so if you can’t see them, are a friend or family member and want to, message me!).
