Aprils Past, 2009 – Nepal!

It’s been a while since I revisted some old photos, so this week I’m sharing a look at what April 2009 was looking like for me… It was when I travelled to Nepal with Gorkha Learning for Life for the first time! Some photos are already up on Flickr, but there are a few unseen ones too. Enjoy!

… Flying to Nepal! A delicious dinner on our first night in Nepal (in Kathmandu!) before a wander around the shops. Visiting the fabulous Boudha Temple and marvelling at all of the prayer flags. Travelling to Gorkha and stopping off to admire the views and take a few selfies…

… A warm welcome from the lovely students at Shree Krishna School (including some fabulous dancing!). Nell gifting new school uniform to some of the students. Ave and I making papier-mâché play scenes to be used at a local nursery (and some toys being used at one of the nurseries!). Ave outside one of the local schools. Ave and myself with two of the lovely teachers at Shree Krishna, showing off our new clothes..!

… I took a fair few photos of insects during the two weeks, but I’m particularly fond of this stripey-bottomed ant! Avalon trying out a new woodwind instrument. Listening to some fabulous music at Swayambhunath and having a wander around…
