At the end of April, Daria posted about her #kittenhoodstyle fashion challenge, saying that she gave up on the idea (due to lack of entries) and then revived it because of some lovely ladies who posted their interpretations of the inspiration for the challenge in March. As Daria is one of my favourite bloggers, and I think that #kittenhoodstyle is a great idea, I decided to give it a go myself.
I used to take photographs for the Wardrobe Remix group on Flickr, so I didn’t think that getting a few shots of my outfit would prove to be particularly difficult… Silly me! It’s been an awfully long while, and as a result, 99.9% of the photos I took make me look terrifically awkward and like I would prefer to be hiding in a bush. Oops.
Anyway, the main point of inspiration for my outfit was the patterned blouse in the image that was picked for May. I wore my favourite blouse, which is a similar style, and used the overall colours of the original outfit in my own. (As an aside, yes, I am employing cat-shield techniques to convince myself that I don’t feel as awkward as I do – it’s a good self-portraiture method. Honest.)
