A few people are already well aware of this fact, but due to being rather busy over the past few months, I haven’t actually taken the time out to officially announce the amazing news I received in January… I have been accepted to be a student midwife (!) at my university of choice (!!) this September (!!!) and I cannot wait to get started! I got the news about two weeks after my interview, whilst out having dinner with Jack (this self-portrait from the day probably shows how happy I was feeling!).
As an aside, I feel a little like I’ve not been giving this blog enough attention recently, likewise to all of the lovely people in my life, however, I’m sure you’re all understand that with the ridiculous hours I’ve been working (in my last timesheet to work, I clocked just shy of 260 hours in that month alone, ouch!) and the health & social care diploma I’ve been working on (which is nearly finished, thankfully!) I’ve only just about had the energy to get up, go to work, come back home, take my 365s and then go to bed and repeat the cycle. My working hours are going to be significantly less over the next few months, though, so I’m looking forward to giving everybody (including this blog!) a lot more attention.
So, normal service to resume shortly, quite probably with some more midwifery themed links and information as the months go on. I hope you’re all enjoying 2015 as much as I am so far – it’s proving to be a non-stop rollercoaster of news and revelations so far!
