Hearing about the earthquake in Nepal was an enormous shock – I posted last week about my first visit to Nepal in 2009, where I visited Shree Krishna School in Pokharathok with the charity Gorkha Learning for Life. The charity itself is currently raising funds to assist with the relief effort in and around the village of Gorkha, and is matching all donations given to the earthquake fund. We have heard that there have been no fatalities in Pokharathok, but there is structural damage throughout the village. We’ve been receiving donations around the clock and have already raised over £1500. For up-to-date news about the charity please visit the Facebook page, and to make a donation please visit the donate page on the charity website.
