A few years ago, my brother spent a lot of time travelling for work. He often brought me back gifts (cute stickers, local liquor, a miniature pencil set, a variety of different beers…) and one of the gifts that he gave me was a Postcarden. Postcardens are postcards which can be opened and shaped into miniature gardens, complete with seeds!
The Postcarden that he bought me was the Botanical; an adorable Victorian botanical planthouse made from cardboard, containing cress seeds to create your own miniature garden! It has taken me a long time to get around to putting it up and watching my seeds grow, but I finally did it..!
I successfully remembered to water it every day for weeks, until I stayed at Jack’s for a couple of days and forgot to ask someone to keep it alive in my absence (! Oops!). Fortunately, it’s still relatively cheerful, just in time for me to go crazy over some egg and cress sandwiches, methinks…
If you fancy getting your hands on your own Postcarden, you can get one from Another Studio. They sell a bunch of other fab things too, so their website is definitely worth a gander!
