Scotland 2014

Last week I went camping in Scotland with my friend Steve. We spent time in Edinburgh and Newtonmore, before visiting Loch Ness and trundling home…

On the first morning, we realised that we’d forgotten mugs/cups… So we had morning coffee in bowls! We spent the rest of the day wandering around Edinburgh, and then sampling lots of fine ale when the evening rolled around.

The next day we travelled to Newtonmore (after having beans for breakfast!), where we found some wilderness to tramp about in…

Isn’t the heather lovely? I meant to bring some home, but I forgot. Doh! The next day, we visited the Dalwhinnie Distillery (yum!) and then went for a drive to… Pitlochry, via a few somewheres… (I don’t recall where the first and second of the following photos were taken! It should be noted, however, that Steve found that can abandoned on the floor, and then drank from it! Uggg!)

The next day was our last full day in Scotland, so we headed up to visit everybody’s favourite monster, at Loch Ness!

Unfortunately, Nessie kept herself to herself, but the sun was shining and we had a lovely boat ride, and tried a bunch of new beers (note Steve’s foam ‘stache in the last photo!) before having an early night.

Hope you enjoyed that peek into our Scotland trip! There’s a few photos on Flickr that I’ve not posted here, so head over there to have a gander if you fancy it.
