Things I Love Thursday #11

Things I Love Thursday is an idea created by the inimitable Gala Darling. In 2007 she began creating a list every Thursday, sharing links, people and experiences that she had fallen in love with that week. All over the internet people the idea was passed around: everyone loved the concept of celebrating appreciation and thankfulness together and began creating their own lists… This is mine!

♥ I drove up to Tarporley last Friday with Laurence, Malin and Fredrik for a LAN party at the Brain in a Jar offices. We stayed until Sunday afternoon and played a hell of a lot of L4D2 amongst other games, and I got to meet up with loads of wonderful people that I don’t get to see very often. It was super!

♥ Visiting Alton Towers with five lovely people. We rode on the rides and we ate all the doughnuts and had a great time being silly and joking about. I love theme parks.

♥ Having a variety of exciting cocktails whilst staying at Rob and Lauren’s house: they bought lots of different drinks to mix and they were all delicious! My favourite had to be the Bocce Ball, although they were all scrumptious. It was a nice change to drink cocktails, as I don’t drink them often.

♥ A 3-day working week… As I was in Tarporley from Friday until Tuesday!

♥ I received Peter Broderick’s new CD These Walls of Mine and it is beautiful, as his work always is. I even get to be super-thrilled about the fact that he used some of my words in the song When I Blank I Blank (read more here). I’m also in love with the cover art (so many wonderful photos of cats, and Peter’s self-portraits are perfect).

♥ Getting to grips with InDesign: I’ve been using it a lot at work, and I’m pretty pleased with what I’m producing.

♥ Saying hello to November!

Do you write a Things I Love Thursday or gratitude list? If not, what would you write on it this week? If so, please share it with me!
